A band of gypsies are a 3 piece rock band which cover all styles and from the 50s, up to the present and have been gigging for about 4-5 years, Tony Wood is the lead vocalist and guitarist, Russ Burns is the bass player and backing vocals who also plays with Sin After Sin and we have Andy Williams on drums.
We play very regular bookings which are great haunts for rockers and those who just love the variety of music and show we offer and always deliver a night of great music and laughs with a great atmosphere and never fail to get another booking wherever we play.
Tribute is another band Tony is part of which is also a 3 piece which is an acoustic trio, with vocal harmonies and also mandolin and harmonica thrown in again covering from the 50s, to the present with great surprises in styles and choice of set list also running two jam sessions at, The Grapes in lees oldham every wednesday and The Hare & Hounds bamford rochdale once a fortnight on a thursday. Tony also plays in another rock band called The Usual Suspects playing again similar stuff to abog but with another guitarist playing dual lead stuff like thin lizzy and more classic rock as a 4 piece band.
All 3 bands are available for pub, club, private bookings and charity gigs and have all the gear and all the tricks and licks and never default on any bookings as this is a full time profession for both bands, So even though we love a giggle we are very serious about what we do and get booked up all year round so, if you want a great rock band and great acoustic trio we can offer you the works.
