i know what you mean Gordon about a guitar that ya want, for me the Jem is the ultimate hard rock guitar and , ever since 93 when Vai brought out the white Jem 7VWH i was in love with that guitar, the one i have now is actually the third one ive had in 10 years (due to my poor grasp of finance), theres no way id sell this one now though, id sooner sell one of my legs!!

A couple I'd like to add to my collection are:

Gibson DG-335 (Dave Grohl)
Gibson Korina Explorer

My missus said she'd divorce me if I got another guitar but 6 more guitars later she's still there. When I asked a wise man how many guitars was enough he replied "the answer's always ... one more"

I've actually bought most of the guitars and basses that I've always wanted!

There are only a couple of things that REALLY have evaded me.

The Holy Grail:

Cloud guitar:

John Birch J1 deluxe:

i'd like a 59 les paul standard... so I could flog it and buy a yacht

other than that, ain't bothered about guitars/basses provided they work... any decent sounding Fender Jazz'll do me :)

yeh pretty sure...thats an autograph scribbled on paper... but he took a bit more trouble with the guitar...the P's and G's are the same just done more carefully. The dot at the end is to show its abreviated to Green from Greenbaum. The bloke I got it from was a session musician down south and he showed me some pictures of them together. It was one of the first guitars he got after deciding to go back on the road...he played with the session bloke in Surrey (or wherever) from 1998 to 2000

I wonder if the Axcess will FINALLY dispell the myth that Floyd Roses rob "tone". :oD

# Posted by V THREE - 08/01/2010, 20:27 (GMT)

I have had a few. . .

Schecter Strat made in California natural wood
Gibson: Standard Guiness, black and cream, Junior TV yellow, Flying V white and a black and white V, J 200 Acoustic, Standard 2000, SG custom cream,
Fender Strats: Custom Shop aged white, Blonde lace pick-up, Telecaster,
Rickenbacker Bass, red Jetglo I think,
Fender Precision, Red.

There will be more but this is all I can remember now.

I've also had most amps, getting them is the best way to find out what they really do.

would be interesting to compare the sustain of a floyd vibrato fitted LP with a tunomatic, some LPs never look right with a vibrato unit , But I must admit the LP Axcess looks great

# Posted by DYEHOUSE - 08/01/2010, 20:46 (GMT)

I have compared 2 identical PRS custom 22's!
one with a trem and one without, and I have to admit there was a differance in tone?
This is recognised by PRS and they gave an option [no longer available] for a mere £500 more of having the solid body semi hollowed to make up for the drop in tone when a trem was fitted!
I opted for this model as I wanted the trem!
It is not the same as the fixed bridge tone but does have a sound of it's own rich in tone!
As they no longer offer this option they have become like rock'in horse shit to get hold of!
It's called a "semi solid" [not semi acoustic]

Saying that, when i bought the Axcess for cash on Friday she didn't bat an eyelid - i was like WTF!!!!
