I had some Pirates LPs from the late 70's , graet player and sad loss

as in "johnny kidd and...."? very sad loss- they were a seminal influence on so many other bands-my (older)sister never stopped playing their music. ;-(

Rest in peace Mick. Say hello to Rory, Jimi, Stevie and them other guys up there. For the younger amongst us, Mick Green pioneered the rhythm/lead style of playing -- i.e. at the same time. A guitarist in the Martin Peters mould - ten years ahead of his time.
