legendary guitarist dies
I had some Pirates LPs from the late 70's , graet player and sad loss http://www.mojo4music.com/blog/2010/01/mick_green_1944-2010.html and from TOTP 2:
It is sad he was a great player , a real pioneer of the electric guitar
Bloody hell your joking
I only wish I was....
as in "johnny kidd and...."? very sad loss- they were a seminal influence on so many other bands-my (older)sister never stopped playing their music. ;-(
Rest in peace Mick. Say hello to Rory, Jimi, Stevie and them other guys up there. For the younger amongst us, Mick Green pioneered the rhythm/lead style of playing -- i.e. at the same time. A guitarist in the Martin Peters mould - ten years ahead of his time.
Oh f**k. What a bloody shame.
