Not another one

Yup sad to say that one of the best Tribute band venues in the country has had to close it's doors.
Lots of good times there and very sad to see it go :-(

deary me, can nobody post a blog about a venue starting up for a change...its getting depressing...not just cos they're venues, but because it shows people aren't bothered about live music anymore. Darlek was right! LOL

They have had issues for years there matey. Three other clubs opening up in the immediate locality and the comings and going of staff there made one suspect all was not well:-(
Gutted to see it go as we were due to play there 12 th Feb.

Quite a few bands have been reporting of fees not being fully paid etc for a while now so no big shock.

The Limelight was one of the hottest venues around more many years, they are dropping like flies ain't they.

We played not so long ago and the manager was looking pretty desperate...a top-notch venue but unfortunately it just wasn't pulling in the punters.

i read somewhere on the net that one of the owners got arrested last year on a fraud charge, nothing to do with the club though, then the website went down and it all seems to have gone wrong from there!

As I understand it one of the owners is currently a guest of HMP

To be fair he was always fine with us but some of the staff he had shafted people :-(
