Big Changes at The Welly

A little off topic, but before anyone panics please read on!!

Okay where to start, it's all so exciting!!

First off apologies to Mr NWB, this is sort of off topic, but I need to Share :)

We are currently undergoing some building work, that involves knocking walls down and building a fireplace.

This is to acheive a larger area as you enter the pub (those who have been here will know what I mean) and make it more welcoming than it already is. The wall is already down and the fireplace will hopefully be started next week.

The big lovely log burning fire will then be purchased and hopefully fit the following week, this will give people somewhere toasty to warm their bototums during the cold weather.

Phase 1 complete.

Next on the agenda are the big fancy stage lights that are being put into the function room.

This will then mean that all you bands will have a little less gear to bring with and set up, I believe they also come with a controller panel, so you can have them on a setting that suits you, these should be in and working by mid February.

Phase 2 complete.

All that leaves us to save up for is a couple of leather sofa's to go in front of the fire and posssibly a PA system later in the year.

So if anyone knows "a Man" that can provide either of the above or just a little help on what PA system would be best to get, just let me know.

So little burst of excitement has now passed, hope you all look forward to the new look Welly as much as we are.

Donna

How cosy! a little fire and sofa. Well, i wouldn't mind if i was stuck in your pub if it snowed in, like what happened at the New Year where those people lived in the pub for 3 days due to the snow.
