Heard this on the radio in the mid 80's and loved it ever since
From about 5:50 it doesn't half sound like Rush!
Lonestar allways a fav with me to shaun, check out some of their earlier stuff than this to. groundbreaking i allways thought
Shaun - this is a classic - the drumming is superb in it dont ya think - the album is a good en.Once missed the gig in Liverpool in 197x cos I had a date and thought I'd catch them next time - they split up then....bollox big cock up.Baz
they did reform Baz but were never the same ,(i think anyway) dunno bout now tho
Heres another fantastic band of the same era , and still going in many guise's lol HEADEAST
That Lone Star song could almost be Rush...Hemispheres era.
Sorry mate....got to 1.20 and fell asleep, each to their own eh...
Blimey I'm with LGIT on this one!! not flaming or owt but never been my tasse de darjeeling Willowlikesthreeminutes! :0)
@willow and LGT WHICH ONE ? or both lol
To be honest Trig, never played your one! I've just give it a go and, er, yeah both! LOL Just a genre i've not really gotten into ... i like the odd track now and then .... the one exception (although probably not what you'd put into this category) is Caravanserai by Santana ..... love that! Also Uberjam by Jon Schofield is a really great album. Don't know what made me think of that as again not really in that genre. Sorry waffling now ... must be time for tea! Willow
Ha Ha ! me to m8, i guess it is kinda that genre, trouble is wi me willow i am so fookin stuck there its untrue, ie 70's 80's etc But absoloutely love Headeast seen em a few times now ( in their Myriad of lineups) but still great for me variety is the spice of life ehh dude ?
Ah yes! I remember them from sixth form days. From what I remember they had 2 albums out in the late 70's with Jon Sloman taking over vocals from Kenny Driscoll on the second one. He didn't stay long either as he joined Uriah Heep for their 10th anniversary album/tour ( Conquest) in 1980. I remember me and a mate, Clive (RIP) who was a huge Heep fan went watching them twice on that tour at Manchester and Blackburn King George's Hall where we were lucky enough to meet the band in their dressing room. I remember Jon Sloman being very quiet and didn't seem to fit in with Box, Bolder et c. He did only make that one album with them and the only thing I ever saw him do again was as a backing vocalist to somw MOR turns on the TV.
