mmmmm tough one, about 20- 30 mins after finishing seems good personally i would say, have a chat and a rest , quickly put it all away and pile together, then another nice bit of quick socializing before loading out, depends on the venue and whos in though..................

Hi Rob

Takes us hour and a half to pack up ...:-(

Normally give it 10 mins after gig to say hello though.

Best wishes

we used to have a sayin.."the gigs not over til the bus is loaded".
10 mins to grab a beer/chat, then break down/load out. When thats done, everybody wieghed in, then its up to individuals how long they wanna stay to bask in glory, fix up a jump in the back alley or (in my case) get ratarsed as the missus is drivin!

depends who's there at the gig... the better the gig, the longer it usually takes... if it's a crap gig sometimes pack up straight away

I once played in a band where the guitar vocalist never left the stage! He would say "thank you and good night" and then uplug his guitar and start wrapping his lead up.

I tend to find that the longer I sit down, the harder it is to get up and get motivated. The other thing is that I nearly always drive so I'm usually ready for a beer at the end of the night- more reason to hit the road.

Great blog! Depends on the venue for me. As a drummer, I usually take the longest to set up/pack away. If there's a good crowd and people wanna chat, I'll wait for a bit. If it's been a shit gig, I'm usually outta there like a ninja!!

Takes us an hour, so start pretty quick after the last set. Ten minutes to wipe the sweat off first and grab a beer.

Same 20-30 mins if it was a good gig.
Chatting etc.
If it is a shit one halfway through the 2nd set usually ;0).

Hi Rob. Finish last song and start putting the kit down. Set of drums taked a lot longer than most of the other stuff. As Mike C commented to much metal bits as well. Leave all the talking to you lot except for the odd occasion.
