Two things I learned today

How did this pass me by?

Firstly, I listened to the Chickenfoot album today. I didn't like it.

Secondly, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Chickenfoot - his middle name is Gaylord (according to Wikipedia).

Not aimed at you Ace. In my OPINION Them Crooked Vultures pisses all over Chickenfoot. But then Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones are two of my heroes, in the same way that you worship Satriani. Horse for courses. It's not a terrible album, I just didnt enjoy it as much as I thought I would.

But Gaylord eh? That came as shock more than anything lol

Ha ha. Come on guys, I didn't think it was THAT controversial lol. I really wanted to enjoy it, but just couldn't get into it. Might give it another go later tonight, perhaps with a serving of Jack Daniels to open my consciousness.

Gotta admit Chickenfoot is competent 80s rock but it really doesn't do it for me at all. (and I do like all the players in the band BTW)

I was underwhelmed with both albums. Chickenfoot was generic and I hate Sammy Hagars voice, but I was hoping for the Vultures album to hit a spot. Unfortunately it was less than the sum of it's parts for me.
