don't know if anyone else posted - couldn't see anything
On BBC site this morning http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8478359.stm think it was seeing the post from Red 'Zoo' that reminded me!
thats a tour not to miss, been a great band over the years.
just announced on their website very very sad news what aband http://www.the-scorpions.com/english/
Jabs is in my top 5 guitarists.
jabs is a fantastic player, as is Rudy Schenker
What a Bummer The last tour was ace!
just before a tour this announcement? i remember the numerous Status Quo announcements :-)
Have heard a rumour that AC/DC, Metallica, The scorps and potentially Van Halen will be doing donnington this year ..... unconfirmed but wouldn't that be rather a treat?
Last time I saw them they were supporting Priest in Manchester, they were awsome.
saw them many times- awesome band, one of the best metal acts in the business
hmmmmmmm, but are they really, or just doing a Kiss
I can remember seeing The Scorpions at Accrington Town Hall many years ago. The first tour of the U.K. Got a flyer outside King Georges Hall Blackburn, after a Judas Priest gig. Motorhead played support to the Scorpions but turned up late and went on after Scorpions had finished. Happy days
Only ever saw them the once and that was at Knebworth in '85 as support to Deep Purple and my main memory of the event was how wet I got due to the appalling weather! And trying to find Nigel's ( Idle Promise) car afterwards!
