Sub Zero / Nightmare lift

Any other tales of woe about venues with nightmare lifts ?

Played the Railway Hotel in Dalton in Furness last night, which by the way ended up being a CRACKING night.
However, arrived to find that we were playing in a back room , two corridoors, 3 fire doors and a narrow flight of stairs from the main entrance.
OK, we can deal with it, so off we go , to find the heating had packed up earlier in the week so the room was a fuckn ice box. Practically had ice on the inside of the windows. The landlady bless her had set up a calor gas heater in one corner to try to take the edge off it, but it hardly touched it.

We were obviously warm enough rocking through the set, but the punters were sat with their coats and balaclava helmets on !
Some of them were even forced to dance to keep warm.......lol

ANYWAY.. what other venues stick in your memory as being the worst lift for what reason. ?

2 more for starters ;
The Carlton rooms at Morecambe -- 5 ( count them ..5 ) flights of stairs and no lift.
Upperby w.m.c Carlisle - metal fire escape up the outside of the building - trechorous in the rain.

Pure nightclub in the printworks manchester. Non stay loading bay,endless corridors,4 floors,and 2 goods lifts.Unload,follow the blue line to lift 1 2nd floor,turn right, follow the red line to lift2. 3rd floor mezzanine, turn left follow green line to back door. in through the stock room and VOILA! wrong place!!! We got lost trying to find the first lift!! lugging a pallet load of gear on a pump truck till an anouncement came over the tannoy " DIRTY WEEKEND!..STAY WHERE YOU ARE!!!" they then sent someone to guide us..and guess what?..yep..he got us lost!! When you finally get to the venue you have to dump the gear and go back to the loading bay to move the cars, so its park at the multi-storey over the road then... Follow the blue line.....
Spinal Tap ??????..PAH!

Top Hat in Carnforth. Narrow spiral staircase or even narrower fire escape then 1 million ''sorry's'' as you keep knocking the snooker players in mid shot.

dunno bout worst, but the best has got to be the Kings Arms Clitheroe.. you can park right next to the side door, which opens right onto the performin area
