another of my random polls, i've done enough of these lately so thisll be it for a bit. :-)

theyre those great simple little guitar solos, they fit the song perfectly but are really cool and recognisable, heres some that are quickly poppin in there everytime i hear these i think what a cool little solo, as impessive as any flash wizadry, could probably come up with loads more ha ha

Mr Big To Be With You
The Beatles All My Loving
Alice In Chains Rooster
The Beatles Nowhere Man
Creedence Clearwater Revival Looking Out My Back Door
Audioslave Like A Stone
Def Leppard Animal
Judas Priest Living After Midnight

Lowell George's slide solo on Little Feat's Rock 'n Roll Doctor
Also, for simplicity, the same guy's solo on Your Bright Baby Blues on Jackson Browne's The Pretender album

Two Journey mentions above - think you can rattle off all the journey back catalogue on this one - Dont Stop Believing, faithfully and stone in love ..... man neal schon had some taste!!

Mr Big - just take my heart (also worthwhile mention for Billy Sheehans bass solo in the intro - as tasteful as any guitar solo Ive ever heard!)

after seeing Dean play, I'm sure he would consider a massive majority of solos simple

noooo, what i mean is take for instance 'to be with you' by Mr Big and the kossoff stuff. yeah its argueable that it could be simple! BUT the way its played the technique, the fluidity, the emotion that is put into such solos can for many (me included as i have asuch a mongrel style) can be very tricky to pull off.

I know what you mean Dean, Steve Rothery from Marillion is an absolute master of simple yet emotional soloing. Nothing too flash just a beautiful tone and tastefully done
