Kam Powerbar Verses Kam ParBar!

Filed Under : Gear , Review

anybody had both?????

I would like to hear from people who have experience of both systems to determine whether or not the powerbar justifies the extra £200 on top price tag?
Is it really that much better???
and what’s the best price you've seen for the Powerbar?
Best one I've seen is £379 from the guy in Leigh who was once quite famous!

Went to buy the parBar, seeing both in action decided to get the powerBar. The powerBar is possibly brighter than 2 parBars.

Works exactly the same just loads brighter - gonna need shades!!

Does it need to be that much brighter or is the ParBar just crap?

Ive seen the kam gear working side by side G. The parbar v1 is a great peice of kit but not as brght as par cans, the v2 is brighter.
The powerbar had a different led arrangement (more like a moonflower rig). The powerbar is far brighter than the v2..awesome!

They are a lot more expensive though for the powerbar!
so is it worth it?
I'd rather save £200 if the Mk2 Parbar is upto the mark!
So what I really want to know is, "is the parbar good enough"?

I sell both and it depends what you want it to do. If you want side lights or something behind the drummer that looks good and gives the audience something to look at use the Parbar Mk2 or maybe 2 of them.

The Powerbar is made to illuminate artists. Each can has 7 x 3 watt leds. It doesn't sound much but in led terms that is bright.

PM me for prices. KAM take a dim view of suppliers selling at below the RRP but if you don't tell them I won't.
