Banner gigs cancelled
Just spoke to Tina about our gig at The Banner and she has informed me all gigs are cancelled until further notice contact Tina on 01942 522778 if you already have a booking there.
Just spoke to Tina and told her not to worry about it as it's not her fault that the owners have pulled the plug but I think the owners should have honoured the Charity Doo bands for packing the pub on 28th Dec, our gig next week has also gone, Rick.

Lol..just spoke to Tina...bar staff forgot!!! What a bloody shame...the Banner is a great venue. Tina is absolutely gutted and is doing her best to find a solution. Competition is fierce in Hindley...just like Atherton, competing for punters.....seems these days, even with the shortage of venues, a town is only big enough for 1.
Thats a shame , place was buzzing last week when I was there with HOTD every credit to Tina for giving it a go
You'll all be pleased to know The Buskers Ball will still be there on a Sunday :o) Yeh its a real shame about The Banner...it had the potential to be a great venue with its size and the acoustics were great! How many people on here supported it though apart from that charity do :o( Still...might comeback...we're booked to play August, but I aint looking for anywhere else for that date, just yet! @ Alec - How many people on here supported it though apart from that charity do :o( Me and the missus have watched seven bands at the Banner and more often than not, Dee and Dave from the Hindley Arms were present lol.

No way! We had a gig in July booked. Dammit. It had a good atmosphere there too.
@ 45s.. i agree with you rick, when ever we could get up to the banner on a friday we did. we also told our rock lads that tina was putting live music on as well, and yes we did bump into each other a number of times. we have tried bands on a friday and it didnt work very good. people flit from pub to pub to much on fridays, so you rely on passing trade all the time. hope tina gets it back again its a tough time of the year after xmas and the bills coming in. i thought her bosses would have weathered the storm and give her a chance
