especially for bass or guitar
Been seeing a lot of good write ups on using gramma pads under your cabs to stop boominess and give high clarity of sound, does anyone on here use them or have any experience of them please. Rob
Could be a good idea for boomy wooden stages!
Do you mean the Auralex GRAMMA pad? Someone on BassChat is organising a bulk deal on them at the moment.
Is that a deliberate Gramma error Rob? or should that be grammer?
@ Dyehouse.Exactly what it is for G.
This must come under Pro-Audiophiles gear!
yea sorry a gramma pad, just wanted to see if anyone has tried one out
I have and they do work Rob
but does it suck your bottom end out as well? I also saw that some people reckon it can take bottom and low mids away
The idea of similar methods on audio equipment ie spikes etc. is to tighten the bass and give more punch! Should imagine it's the same with these things!
@ Dyehouse.Spot on G. It gets rid of the Boominess and really tightens the sound up, it doesn't get rid of what is already there. My sound is more Mid based and it does the business for me.It has been a life-saver on some gigs where there has been a stage with a huge hollow void underneath.
Incidently, if you want one Rob, drop me a PM. I have the details to get them at pretty stupid prices. A deal organised by BassChat.
