Gigs Cancelled
Got a message off Darren. The commitee are cancelling bands.
Yep we got a message off Darren yesterday too. Bummer eh.
Hasn't this venue just been on here touting for 'cover' bands.....
Gary, Darren the LL used to run the Griffin Inn in Mold where they used to have regular bands on, but left there sometime last year. Cracker of a venue n'all. Recently he's been involved with some social club round the corner from the pub where he's been putting bands on (hence the touting here), we were booked for early April but got a message yesterday saying the committe of the SC have decided against having bands on so he's having to cancel all dates. Really nice bloke & we wish him all the best for the future.
Dean Cheers for that mate... Did you spot the irony in your reply..... A Welsh landlord and you put 'LL'.....all good Welsh names start with 'LL' It's 'cLLassic' irony.....ha ha ha....hope to see you soon mate, not seen the new line up yet.....
Haha...what ya like! Darren sounds as English as I do, Mold is literally just accross the border - might as well just be called 'extended Chester'.

Listen here Suger Bullets - we Flintshire boys, built this thing called Offa's Dyke to keep all the bloody Chester idiots on your side of the wall. Mind you I had to get special Welsh passports for our drummer and guitarist to be able to get through the gate. Theres a welcome in the hillside, but dont say its "Chester" its bloody Wales boyos!
@ Peacemaker Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it say CHESTER as your location on your profile? Kinda contradicts your point really, being "flintshire boys" n'all :)
I played a venue in mold a few years ago..... Was it the Dolphin ????? My cousin married a Wrexham lad and he's proud to be called a Welshman and they hate folk from Chester with a passion....and the Bloody English...

Haha! Yeh! Well spotted Suger Bullets, comes from being a multi-racial band - a Welshman, a Cestrian, and a true Saint from Helens. Putting Chester on our link hopefully makes us sound more "north west" than wooly-backed farmers! Anyway Darren is a great bloke and deserves all our respect.
