A great venue, a great crowd, a great gig
It was our first gig at Wangies, we hope we impressed... a slight problem at the start of the night... Steve's amp refused to play ball, lucky Ken lives nowt but a stones throw away, before anyone noticed we had a replacement amp warming up.
A great crowd, christened 'the wangers' (well it sounded like that from were I was sat).joined in with Louis's banter, a very appreciative crowd, lots of toes tapping as we cruised through the first set, timed at exactly 1 hour dead. A quick pint and breather then we were back, the second set took us through to almost 12:30 with a few impromptu numbers call for by the crowd towards the end, we busked and rocked and had a great night.
We look forward to a return visit sometime in the not to distant future...
Louis is away for a week or so, the next gig is in Mold... Darren used to book the bands at the Griffin, another pub fallen due to the economy, but is now down the road at the Bryn Griffiths social club. The last time we played there in January we had a fantastic night.
Cheers
Geoff
