What is the one band you HAVE to collect

Hi All

Following on from Picture Disk blog, what is the one band you have to have everything they have ever done?

How anal do you get over them

What is you pride and joy in your collection

What is you best bargan with regard to your collection

Mine?

Genesis ( of course) ;-)

I try and lay my hands on all that I am able by the band including posters, tickets and tour programmes.

My pride and joy is my Japanese double album " The Story Of Genesis" with obi strip ;-)

Best bargan was a signed 7 inch single picture sleve of Follow You Follow Me which got in car booty for pricely sum of £1. The signatures are genuine by the way.

Best wishes

John

Toto for me.
Hugely underrated in my opinion, great muso`s and easily one of the best live bands I`ve seen ( on many occasions ).
Pride and joy would be a vinyl copy of farenheit album signed by the whole band, including the late ,great Jeff Porcaro.

Anything Chameleons-orientated gets my vote, even the spin off bands like the Sons of God, Sun and the Moon and all sorts. I've not got absolutely everything though.

Though pride and joy, inadvertently, in the collection is a copy of From the Lion's Mouth by the Sound on CD. I picked it up because I love the band and now it's deleted it's going for a song.

There are only a few bands I have absolutely EVERYTHING by.
Cheap Trick
The Beatles
The Who (right down to USA promos on Decca from 65)
Slade - I supplied masters for part of the recent reissue series.

Oooh The Who.

One of my other fav bands ever. Seen them three times and have Quadrophenia and Whos Next as well as Best of.

Used to love Slade when I first started getting into music. Banging Man still one of my fav singles :-)

I think you know some of what I am going to put John, Genesis, Marillion, Pendragon, Journey, Beatles just to mention a few, I pretty much have everything they do of everybody I like. my cds used to fill two complete walls from floor to ceiling, and my dvds used to fill the other two walls, I have had to put them in a dedicated room, I am not even going to get into how many mp3s I have got, to keep complete harmony in my house, I only have about a 1,000 cds in my lounge where my hifi is nowadays. I would move them too but I had the floor concreted where my speakers are (wooden floors and all that).

Tony.

If they tour this year you really should go. Seen them last two tours and they are amazing. Only went first time to shut Lisa up ;-) Found myself loving the gig.
Saw them with their new singer and he is amazing.
Great band

Met Rush in the Liverpool Empire on the Hemispheres tour. Went for chips for Tony Gerianos ( guitar tech) and he gave me a fiver as he couldn't leave the building. When I came backcwith the chips and his change he got me on the guest list :-))))

Got a great bootleg of Hemispheres tour

Best wishes

Utterly obsessive about Rory Gallagher got all the records on vinyl and cd and video, dvds, bootlegs, compilations, old posters, 'Jackie' mag cuttings from the 70's (come on now some of you are old enough to remember that teen mag) I could go on LOL. My only regrets are that I never kept the fabric sticker that came with the album Tattoo and old tix from concerts back in the day.
