Your call...
Planet Rock recently held a poll to find the best live album ever. IMHO there's only one - Live at Leeds by The Who. What d'ya reckon?
Either Queen at Wembley '86 or Van Halen Live: Right Here, Right Now. I'll go for Van Halen (just).
Van Morrison ;Its too late to stop now' (and I aint no big Van fan...but this album and video if you can find it is just magic ALTHOUGH...MC5 Kick out the Jams is pretty hot !!!
the police - synchronicity tour dream theater - budokhan ozzy - budokhan marillion - live from loreley
Real to Reel - Marillion
Peter Gabriel - Secret World Live
journey, live in houston.
Quo Live
Levellers - white lines, headlights and black tar rivers Kid Rock - Live trucker Kiss - Alive 3 Alanis Morrisette - MTV Unplugged Metallica - Live Shit
The 45's At Hulton Arms - LOL. Made In Japan - Deep Purple. Rick.
Live At Leeds is brilliant. My favourite tho is Hawkwind; Live Seventy Nine.
Rush in Rio - great atmosphere, the Brazilian fans actually sing along to the instrumental YYZ. I've seen this band many times live and have never been disappointed.
Live At Leeds is probably the greatestbut for incredible live musicianship, you'd have to go a long way to find a better live album than two of the ones Frank Zappa released from his 1988 tour - 'Make A Jazz Noise Here' and 'The Best Band You Never Heard In Your Life'... stunning.. completely live with no studio overdubs unlike most 'live' albumsS & M by Metallica is pretty good,.. dunno how much they would have fixed up in the studio after though
Well as most of you are mentioning more than one..... If you want blood - AC/DC No sleep til Hammersmith - Motorhead Classics!

Live in the Heart of the City - Whitesnake All the Worlds a Stage - Rush Made in Japan- Deep Purple Live Killers - Queen Made Again - Marillion
Too Late To Stop Now is superb. Didn't realise there was a video Alec?!How about Get Yer Ya Ya's Out by the Stones or Irish Tour 74 by Rory G. Also love 'Between Nothingness and Eternity' by Mahavishnu Orch ..
Cant work out an order, but Live In Europe; Irish Tour 74; Rory Gallagher, Made In Japan; Purple are the top 3. In a recent Classic Rock poll, Irish Tour 74, was a very surprising number 2.

Quo Live Mr Big - Raw like Sushi Kiss Alive
I'm partial to a bit of Made in Japan by Deep Purple but I also love the raw energy of the rather badly recorded live disc of Still by Joy Division. It captures the band at the absolute height of their powers, it's such a shame that it was recorded literally days before Ian Curtis's death.
@ US Mail... I saw it on tv years and years ago...great concert ...have seen the video too but it was on VHS...not yet seen a DVD
just Wiki'd it.. The London Rainbow concert was the first BBC simulcast in 1974 being broadcast simultaneously on BBC 2 television I'm sure its been on since though...surely it wasn't 36 years ago...shit, maybe it was LOL I have seen a video too, maybe BBC own it but cant release it for copyright etc...or maybe it was a bootleg
HANX....Stiff Little Fingers. LIVE AT SHEA STADIUM.....The Clash. LIVE AT SHEPPERTON.....The Damned. LIVE AT BLENHIEM PALACE.....Barry Manilow.
LGIT- Hah, the truth comes out. Behind that abrasive punk bluster you are revealed as a true Manilow worshipper. You can't be called one of the sheeple though cos nobody else likes him (under the age of 75)! Gaz, you are a trailblazer! Did he do Teenage Kicks at Blenheim Palace? I think he'd dropped Smack My Bitch Up from his set by then... Louis
Seconds Out: GenesisPredictable from me again I apologise but it is my fav.... ;-)Made in Japan and Live And Dangerous are probably next
Louis Baaaaahhhhh. Yes, you rumbled me. Oh Mandy..... Truth is, I took my Mum and her mates to the concert in the 80's I think.....bought her the album for Mothers day.....yeah, good album. You know I can't smile without you..... come on, sing along, you know the words.....
TOTO - Absolute RAINBOW - On Stage Black Sabbath - Live Evil TOTO- Livefields.
Iron Maiden - Live after Death is pretty damn awesome as wellShaun
