AC/DC - Rage Against The Machine - Aerosmith - Anyone going?
Got my ticket in Jan and was wondering if anyone else is going down?
I'm not as I can't get leave for that time but my other half and a bunch of mates are going.
Hell yeah I am! I've been waiting to see Aerosmith for ages!!
this time last year I said "of all the bands I have seen over the years, I have never seen ACDC or Aerosmith", then I got a ticket to see ACDC at Hampden in Glasgow, so that left Aerosmith as the sole band that I wanted to see live but hadn't. I had bought my ticket before the headliners were announced so was delighted when the smith were announced, but not so chuffed about RATM. Can't be doing with them lol
can't, off to Israel with Mrs. I'm sure she planned for her sister to have a baby same time as download just to piss me off
lol
Tell you what, I got "war is the answer" by Five Finger Death Punch at the weekend as I knew nothing about them and it's one of the best albums I've heard from a new band since disturbed's the sickness in 1999.If you like any of the following bands then check this album outslipknotmachine headdisturbedstone sourcan't wait to see these guys at download now
im goin pal i also got my ticket in jan, ac/dc are my all time favorite band and i missed out on a ticket, so im chuffed im gonna finally see em on what could be there last tour.stone sour are also great. craig
Have u heard what's happening regarding ACDC?For those who haven't : Acca Dacca have only agreed to play if they can use their full touring stage on the friday. As a result, the minute ACDC finish on the friday, the entire stage will be dismantled and the normal Download stage will then be built, before setting up all of the sound systems again for a lunchtime start on the sat. Obviously someone reckons it can be done or the contract wouldn't have been signed, but a lot of the people in the forums who claim to be professional roadies have serious doubts. Will be interesting. Was thinking of hanging about for a little bit after the show to see how quickly they start ripping up the stage...then I thought....back to the campsite to get tw@tted, so fek that lol
I saw ac/dc in birmingham in 1996 for the Razors Edge tour - they were brilliant then (although without Phil Rudd as Chris Slade was on drums) - they're absolutely awesome on record and live.Unfortunately, work as a chef means I get no time off all summer (will struggle even to do a few gigs) but hey-ho.Mick
not heard that, bloody hell there gonna be busy, ill have to have a couple of extra jds so they dont wake me up durin the nite!!!!!!!
Don't want to rub it in, but my brother won R.I.P ticketss to the festival this year in a radio competition. Going for 3 days, £200 beer vouchers, free accomodation and free travel. Not costing me a penny. How's that for being a jammy git.
Yeah dude. I'm going. Saw DC last year in Manchester and I'm sincere when i say that it was the best thing I have seen in my entire life. Absolutely incredible. If they use their touring stage set then you're in for a treat. Been to every Download since 93, brilliant festival. Andy
Yeah I saw Ac/DC at Hampden last year on the Black Ice tour, with the train crashing through, it was amazing. Doing the dc stomp (2up 2down) for 2 hours was fantastic lol
