I went to support WHATEVER last night.....

And I bloody well enjoyed myself.....

Had a night off so I went to support a NWB gig.
WHATEVER at the Woodlands in Great Sankey, Warrington.
Only a ten minute drive and Mrs LGIT was driving so I was out for a good time.
Now it's fair to say I'm not really a big fan of 'popular' music and I've had a bit of cheeky banter with the lads from WHATEVER.....also, the Woodlands is a bit of a 'nice' pub (not my usual scene).....so I wasn't sure if I was gonna stay all night.
But once the ice was broken with a smile and a handshake I felt at ease and settled in for the night.
The WHATEVER lads and their WAGS were some of the nicest people I've met and welcomed me and Mrs LGIT into their company which included Mr Loverockets.....
As a band, these lads can play and I was impressed.....what more can I say as a compliment.....I stayed all night and had a great time, really enjoyed the night.
All the 'favourites' were in there.....and I found myself singing along to most of their songs.....I think the Kronemberg had watered down my brain.....
A funny incident when one of the local 'Barbies' fell over a monitor (dancing / posing) and Chris got a smack in the chops from his microphone....and the 'Barbie' spent the rest of the night looking for her lost shoe....I though the lads did well not to lose their concentration.....
Although it wasn't what I'd call a dedicated live music venue, I did note that the majority of people were singing along with the band, even the ones in the back pool room....and the applause was spread out around the big, open plan room.
So, thanks to WHATEVER for keeping me and the Missus entertained and I'll certainly be keeping an eye on their gig list in future.
Good band, good gig and nice people.....
Well done and Thanks.

Gary

Thanks for the comments. You Mrs LGIT were genuinely nice people and I know we have had our moments on here but were defo up for some LGIT PUNK defo.
I must say pmsl when you were singing to Teenage Kicks and then realised hoping we didnt see you then stopped. Thanks for coming the lip is ok. Was more worried about the missus kicking my head in . The eyes were well focused elsewhere.....promise.

And for me anyone who supports the Red Army all over the world will never ever get anymore cocky or windup comments on here...... well for a week at least lol.

Top man Gary see you soon mate defo.

Thanks for coming down Gary (and Mrs LGIT). Good to put a face to a name. I have to say now I've met you that you are probably the most misunderstood man on NWB since....well, since me to be fair!!

It was an absolute pleasure to have you spend the evening with us, and we're all very excited about returning the compliment.
