Favourite music video

Very recently seen a saucy vid and got me thinking.....

No. Not porn!

I very recently (well yesterday) saw the new Lady Ga-Ga / Beyonce video.

Now I hate the ga-gagster as much as the next she-he, and his/her music is just terrible, BUT! that video was, i'm actually not ashamed to say, pretty damn hot!

So I was thinking, what's your favourite music video ever?

Continuing with the above theme, i'd have to go with the Prodigy "Smack your bitch up" - yes, it has Teresa May in it (the GREATEST english sexy sex lady there is!), but it's also pretty damn smart the first time you see it.

Come on then...... let me know!

@Duke Bocks - Stacey's mom vid is a good one! Songs a bit 'meh' for me, but Rachel Hunter saves the day!

@Bass Bloke - I remember that True Faith video winning awards at the time. Wasn't it one of the biggest selling singles of that year too? Still have my vinyl copy!

They wouldn't have shown this on Swap Shop. Great tune, 'racy' video.

Talking of Racey, a classic video. Relax, girls, they're married:

And finally, the front man i've modelled myself on. Ladies and gentlemen, Rupert Holmes!!!

The B-52's 'Roam' - what a great video and song! A fine shout.

Anyway, from a *ahem* 'artistic' point of view, the new Beyonce/Lady GaGa one and 'Stacey's Mom' are fine shouts. I would also add to that list:

The Divinyls - I Touch Myself
The Bangles - Anything really, as long as Susannah Hoffs is there.
Chris Isaak - Wicked Game (the version with Helena Christensen)
Girls Aloud - Long Hot Summer
Sabrina - Boys
Kylie - Can't Get You Out Of My Head
Christina Milian - Dip It Low

And many others. I once did a spoof video compilation for my mates - 'Now That's What I Call A Right Arm Like Popeye' - containing videos such as these. They really enjoyed it...! I'll dig it out and post some more.

And then I'll post some suggestions of a non-pervy nature...

Sabrina....... oh my GOD that was a fine, fine video!!

Oh, alright, it was a terrible piece of film - but damn!

in fact, I think if we were to merge Mick Greens list with that AHa vid, true faith and the ZZ Top Legs vid, we'd have the definitive all time list!

In my first band we used to play Robert Palmer - Addicted to love - again, without the chicks. And I don't think I was a good substitute unfortunately!!

Take On Me by A-Ha and Sabotage by the Beasties are probably my favourite pop videos but "Wings" by the Fall deserves a special mention for it's intentional naffness. Brix and Mark sitting in their local, whilst the rest of the Fall sit at the bar looking terrified.
