Calling all Origional Bands!!!!

Battle of the Bands 2010 @ the Pheasant Pluckers

This Year Battle of the Bands is going to be bigger and Better!!! The Dates for the heats are:

Sat 5th June Heat 1

Sat 3rd July Heat 2

Sat 31st July Heat 3

Sat 4th September Heat 4

The Final will be held on the 25th September with 1 band from each heat going through plus the highest scoring runner up. They will compete for a prize of at least £500. By September I'm hoping to Double that prize money if we can find the right sponsorship!!!

This is the first advertisement for this so no bands are signed up for any of the heats yet!!!! If your interested email me on steve@pheasantpluckerspub.co.uk

Hey,now this is surely what the true value of a music site can be about-genuine news of an opportunity to play and money in the offing.
Don't really understand the concept of a competition/battle where music is concerned(it's about tastes innit?)but hey it's an opportunity for original bands to get out there,and we're desperate for the money so we'll give it a shot.

It was a fantastic contest last year with 10 Bands competing all on one day!!! Unfortunately it was too many bands to choose from in one day!!!! So thats why we've split it into heats!!!! In answer to the ICE Bands question we have a panel of musical judges. Its not down to a public vote because we know its not fair if a band brings a 100 people with them and another just brings 10. If you look on our website under BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2009 tab a copy of the judging sheet is at the bottom!!!
