Emergency Home made Plectrums

Anyone had to make one before a gig?

I know this is a silly one but i was once in a situation where i made a plectrum out of one of these Texaco Club cards. I got through the gig just about. Did try to ask the bass player for a plectrum but he said he plays with fingers only. As anyone else been caught out and been forced to do DIY plectrums and what did you make them out of?

Thats a point where do all the lost plectrums go to? in the bin? Landlords collection? taken by aliens and used as currency in far far away Galaxies?

when I were a nipper(24) and got my first real six string (bought it at the five and d.... , well perhaps not!) I used the square tags that kept loaves fresh ... anyone remember them ... little squared off U shaped things that clamped round the plastic bag????

Or is it me!

p.s. you can never have enough plecs and strings but Sod's law says the minute u ain't got a replacement then you lose one!
He's a sod that Sod!

Hahaha I used to also use one of those bread tags when starting (and failing miserably) on accoustic many beards ago..

You can even use them as a guitar strap lock :)
