Nativity In Black at Mose Gate

What a great night.

For starters, I'm not a huge Sabbath fan and only really know the well known sabbath songs (war pigs, sabath bloody sabbath etc) but I'm a huge Ozzy fan so I thought I would defo go down and check these guys out.
Caught the end of the first set and was instantly impressed with the overall sound. It was my first visiti to the Moses gate and was amazed at the turnout for a Thursday night. At a complete guess I'd say there were about 70+ people in.

Second set contained all the classics with a load of them put together into a 23 minute medley.
If you're a metal head, you just don't get much heavier than the sabbath riffs and my head was bobbing up and down like a cheap hooker in a sierra cosworth lol

as for the band, Baz, Mark, Chris and Andy had the look of 4 guys who were loving every second of it and that was confirmed by them all at the end of the night.
They even played Doctor Doctor by UFO (I think lol) and Andy on the bass just looked like he was having a ball.

What a great night and was great to meet the guys and just chat metal for ages, then the bonus of watching other people have to pack all the gear away lol

If classic metal is your thing, please go and check these guys out.

Came on to post a comment but Scott's just said everything I was going to say !!

except the social bit..... sorry we had to sneak out a bit early .... it being a school nite and all that !!!

I was impressed the guys managed to get that absolute essential for a proper rock gig in there..... the smell of burning equipment lmao !!

took me back to a distant memory ...trying to keep a straight face and keep singing in a club in Dumfries whilst watching our sound guy legging it for the fire escape with a burning stage monitor at arms length !!

as Scott says if you like clasic metal you wont go far wrong with these guys.

cheers

Ian.

They haven't got any lined up yet as mark is busy with anthem and baz with tuskan. There were discussions last night about a double or triple header with us. Maybe see if we can get an acdc band on board.
That would be awesome

Cheers for the comments guys - we had a f*ckin ball up there - only just come down from the high - What a turn out for a Thursday night - nothing planned for further gigs yet but it would be rude not to do this again...lol
