steve berry on rock radio had a text poll on monday as to whether he should play the new oasis album-the vote was 91% in favour of "no-asis" - 'nuff said !!!! as for liking 80's hair metal making one a "freak"? if the alternative is turning chav and listening to "homies", "biatches", "da hood" etc in every song then .............!!!! :-P

if listening to 80s hair rock makes one a freak then..... im seeing if the Jim Rose circus has any vacancies, right im off to the shops to buy the new motley crue album, carrying in a gig bag a flourescent yellow floyd rosw equipped Jackson guitar, while dressed in stonewash jeans,a bandana a sleeveless denim jacket (with patches sewn on the back) and a faded skid row t shirt while listening to Warrant on my cassette walkman and drinking a can of Quattro :-) party on dudes!!

I am also a big oasis fan(earlier stuff was best) and wish i could of got a ticket too.
I am 38 now and no bloody chav.
Cant stand rap though or RnB as it is called these days as i think you are reffering to Viking.
I wonder what the average age of Rock radio listners is, and yes i do listen to it too.

whatever-they claim to have a cross section-age range from 18 upwards? like you-i just can't bring myself to refer to the modern stuff as "r'n'b"?? is a travesty, in my opinion to call it that? i respect others right to apreciate ANY music, even oasis (lol!!)-think f e has just found that giant wooden spoon he got for xmas and is after the nwb "stirrer's prize" for 2008!!! :-))
plus, i reckon bands the likes of the blue slickers, the fix etc. might take severe issue with the opening statement on this blog?? :-/

lol, it depends what sort of hair rock you are talking about? The early eighties David Coverdale, Eddie Valen and Dee Snider do's, or yer poncey hairspray duddettes like Motley Crue etc etc

Me, I was more into yer mean as phuq metal do's like James Hetfield before he became all washed up and sensible and boring, or Scott Ian before he shaved it all off LOL

It's all good fun, I know a lot of OASIS fans and they are very passionate about the band which is very cool, but I really just don't get the hype about them.

They just moan a lot, don't move about on stage and generally bore me, which is completely contrary to what I want to see when I pay a lot of money to go to a gig.

That would be my idea of hell, having to listen to that rubbish for 2 hours. There's only one thing that's worse than them......

Enjoy your nite though eh? :P

Blur my Hairy Arse...

Oasis were excellent as usual as good as when they actually supported my college band at The Boardwalk Manchester!! I love oasis sing along anthems every one- The Crowd was singing so loud at one point you could not here the band!!!

As for getting a ticket its not what you know its who you know!!!!! They sold out in 40 seconds alledgedly!!

I call hair metal BUT I am a hypocrite- Kiss are my favourite band, I own all Motley Crue's albums- a fair selection of Whitesnake and all the other 80's nonsense!!!!!!

Caused a bit of a stir with the hair metal stuff here!! But- hijacking own thread warning.......

I do think a lot of 80's Hair metal NWOBHM Thrash etc are a bit blind and blinkered to other types of music... I love Disco what about Disco????
