......aint arf been some clever B£$t@ds !
Went down to the Royal Oak on Sunday to see Willow and Jon, used to be in bands with them some ### years ago
great to catch upwith them...
great to see a lot of you guys down there and put some faces to names...yeah I know I didn't introduce myself but, well, ..............when I haven't got a mic and a couple of thousand watts of PA at my disposal, I'm actually quite shy !................aaaaaw !!
anyway knowing willow and Jon's talents and attention to detail I actually went with pretty high expectations of the Big Fish....................and I wasn't dissapointed !
plenty been said on a couple of earlier blogs but for my two penneth.....
firstly.. those of you who work with humbuckers, marshalls and mesa boogies and other such fine things specifically designed to be loud shouldn't underestimate how tricky it is to get such a great sound out of tempramental acoustic instruments
secondly outside of the acoustic guitar bass and drums rhythm section, having vocals and three "feature" instruments requires discipline.... they make it look ded easy...... trust me its anything but !!!
lastly just something for you singers and guitarists out there to mull on.......
Young Mr Willow is probably the best KEYBOARD PLAYER I've ever had the pleasure to work with !
I KNOW !!!!!
