Undecided? - Don't Be

There was a previous posting about using GRAMMA Pads and do they do what they say. Simple answer "Hell Yes"
I have had one for a month or so but only got the chance to prove it's worth on Sunday.
We were playing at a venue we have played before with a fairly large stage. Previously I had had a bitch of a time getting the sound of my Bass right. It was always "Boomy" and "Muddy" sounding, no clarity at all.
Sunday night using a GRAMMA pad, what a difference. The sound was awesome. Clear as a bell and even the other guys remarked on the improvement.
Any previous use has been at new venues so could never make the comparison, but they are well worth the money. I always had a problem at The King Eddy, but I reckon one of these would have done the business.
If you have been thinking about getting one, DON'T. JFDI.

I have one and couldnt decide if it worked or was my imagination, but if you have ever played The Cricketers in shaw you will know that with the little riser at the back its hard to stop your bass from becoming a huge boomy mush, I tried a gramma and it stopped it.

To be honest I had the reverse problem and found it sucked my bottom end right out and I had to EQ the bass a little.

Its a handy bit of kit if you like your bass to cut through but if you like 15" or 18" big bottom/old school type of sound then its not for you

What is it? How does it work?

its a square of chipboard with foam under thats costs about £40 lol.

Its a board that your cab sits on with a dense foam under it and it stops your cabs from "connecting" to the floor, it can be used for guitar, monitors, or any speaker but works best with bass.

That's me. After waiting all that time for the ACG, I sure as hell want it to cut through.

Sounds good but a more important question - does it stop the bloody snare from rattling every time you hit a chord?
I've stuck my amp on guitar cases, bits of foam and all sorts to stop that happening, but these might be a more permanent solution!
