What do you do when an ex band member decides

leaves than cancels gigs !!!

So - you let a new member get involved with booking gigs to let them feel 'part of the band' - unfortunately it doesn't work out - then they decide that due to their 'reputation' that although you have a replacement in place - that they need to cancel the gigs that you have already confirmed because they don't know if you can do them !!!!

which now involved me contacting venues - including re books for the 3rd time in 2 weeks to ensure the gigs are on !!!

Schoolboy error on my part or just plain spite ??

any thoughts ?

Did your ex-member leave on good terms with the band...????
If YES, then ring him up and 'have a word'...
If NO, slap him hard.....

Sounds like spite to me.
You have already done what i would have done and rang
around the venues.

Just ring loads of take aways and taxis and send them to his
house.

Just commenting generally on the subject cos I don't know the in and puts of what's happened to ya but Yeah I can never understand if someones leaves or gets the boot why that affects gigs that they've got if the replacement can do them then I don't see a problem unless it gets nasty but even then no point in burning bridges the person should move on and put it down to experience
