OK Robert,
I've been learning Suspicious Minds (i'm Nick on bass). We are having to transpose it from G to F for the singer.
Think i'm going to play the begining in a melodic fashion, ala Elvis' version, till the time change of 6/8, which will have to remain melodic. Then I really fancy taking it up to a rocking, driving beat, Fine Young Cannibles on steroids - seeing how I'm M.D. and very bossy, thats the way it will probably develope.

Bass-wise :
I'll think of summin' in a bit, to learn this week.. However, I
learnt "Heatwave" tutha day. We're gonna be doing The Jam's version, even though I had blast through all versions for the fun of it.. Also, a few week's back I sorted "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick"....I've just had a look in my music folder on p.c, and I'll think I'll choose an Entwistle bassline...maybe "5:15" from Quadrophenia!?

I started learning Ain't No Love by Whitesnake on the bass last night....does that count???? lol

As well as Aces High (but I sort of already knew that, but decided to learn the solo properly....does that count as well????

I am, at some point, gonna try and learn The count of Tuscany by Dream Theater, but that's gonna take longer than a week. Probably more like 10 years, but I'll learn it...ish

:-D
