A familiar face,,,,

Went to watch Vera Cruz at The Hermit tonight, got there late because we got lost(doh!!). a really nice pub with a large room for the bands( the iron horse suite). when we walked through the door i recognised the lead singer straight away.I had seen him with Big W a few weeks ago in Burnley, there wasnt a lot of people there, but the pub is in the middle of nowhere. When it gets established this will be a great venue..Anyway back to Vera Cruz,,,they are a very tight band with a great selection of songs. They had a few problems with equipment(snapped strings,,batteries going on the mic etc) but they didnt let it bother them,,true pro`s.The songs where as close to the record as you can get, especially the Thin lizzy stuff which suits waz`s voice perfectly.the lead guitarist was spot on and the bass and drums were tight ,considering the drummer is new....A cracking band well worth a watch,,A great venue...needs people to make an effort and support the pub.....ladies and gentlemen, Gigster has left the building..(yes i`ve had a few scoops)
