Paid rehearsal is the way to go there. It's a bit of a bummer to get that kind of turnout but you can generally have a laugh with your stuff - sometimes some good comes out of it!

When i was out and about doing a solo thing I once played to my missus, two friends and the bar staff and landlord and lady ... i.e. NO-ONE unconnected with me or the pub!! I offered to pack up and go home - no fee required, but they insisted I stay on and play as it might get busy ... and you'd think it would ... cos it was Christmas Eve!!! FFS!! Not the best Xmas Eve I'v ever had (altho I did get rather more drunk than I would have usually!!)
