Jam Night at Old Market Tavern?????

Did anyone go to the Jam Night last night at The Old Market Tavern in Altrincham?
I got a text message from a friend who was there saying they were short of Drummers/Bass Players. As a) A Bass Player and b) Live in Timperley, I would have been there like a shot had i known.
I have PM'd the venue to try and find more details, but does anyone know if it is a regular Monday Jam Night??????

If it is, please let me know. As a drummer, I would be interested in this. Not many jam nights round South Manchester.

As a guitar playing living in Timperley I'm interested. Shame it wasn't advertised.

I have just had a reply from John and apparently it is a regular Monday Night Jam Night.
I have suggested he puts the details up here each week.

are bands welcome to turn up and play a couple? We're just testing the water and we've done 2 jam nights (cheers Hard to Handle and Dean Casement Trio for letting us play) as warm ups?

I would PM John at OMT and ask. Can't see it being a problem as i have done the same with a band before. Great way to run through new material......
None of us even knew there was a Jam Night, so haven't been and don't know what the script is.

Took heed from this blog and created a Jam Night blog miself, for The Royal Tavern in St.Helens. We should all start "bigging-up" the various jams throughout the North West.

Good idea Andy. The only problem is that the blogs disappear too quickly.

I think Mr Paul NWB could maybe stick summin' on the "Pinned Posts" for quick glancing? (sounds like a plan)

I believe it is every two weeks, the next one being Monday 26th. It seems to be mainly blues/rock so personally a bit of variation would be nice. I don't think there is an official restriction on style, it's just a jam. Stu (Rumble) I might be there Monday and it would be nice to meet you! (Bob - the guitarist/bassist/keys). Wear a white carnation!!!

Hi Bob,
I recently joined a Jazz/Funk/Fusion band as well as Rumble and we may be rehearsing. But if not, I shall indeed wear a White Carnation.

Apparently the next jam night is 4 weeks away instead of two because of holidays.
Good luck Stuart. Let me know if they want a guitarist!! Bob.
