a mates band recently played it (the lion) for 1st time and it sounded like a good venue with a rebooking to boot! - contact Rob via www.northernrokk.com and i'm sure he'll tell you all about it!

cheers

Lion veteran here!
Small pub with dedicated rock following. Smallish stage, with in-house lights and PA, just about adequate for a pub this size. A few bands take their own PA for more control/power. Small booth at back of room with desk, which can be manned by your own soundguy or one of the audience (many of which are musos).

We're playing there a couple of Fridays after.

Hey Guys
Like Delirium, we're regulars at the Lion in Castleford. In fact we're there on May 8th, you'll see our posters.....
We always use our own PA, because we're in control then.....
This is a cracking little music venue, hope you go down well with the 'Slaves'....and the Pizza/Kebab shop next door is the BEST in the land......shuts at 12 though so best to order between sets eh.....
And If you survive the Lion......I'll be seeing you up the Norton on Saturday.....
We're in Halifax Friday so maybe see you on the M62.....if not see you Saturday.
All the best
Gary
