How to rekindle the romance in your relationship...maybe

Hi there all you romantics and followers of Dr Luuurves tips for the lost and lovelorn.

I was reading recently about the setting for the ultra-romantic movie Brief Encounter starring Trevor Howard and Celia Johnson. It was filmed at Carnforth Station near Lancaster, and gave me a wonderful idea.

Why not bundle your other half into the car and set off on a whim up to Carnforth. Upon your arrival at the Station, go to the boot of your car and take out the following items ( stashed away earlier .)
1.bottle of wine (red or white)
2.small bouquet of flowers, preferably roses (carnations may be cheaper).
3.trenchcoat and trilby hat for you.
4.trenchcoat and wide brimmed hat for missus.
(3+4 may be found at local age-concern / bernardos)

Precede to act out a scene from Brief Encounter on the railway platform, remember to speak in 1940 style B - movie clipped English accents for the duration of your role play.
Board a train to the next station on the line (Morecambe). On the way, enjoy a glass or two of wine whilst gazing lovingly at each other across the carriage / table / empty macdonalds wrappers.
Once you reach your destination , disembark, then board a train going back to Carnforth where you parked the car.

Romantic or what ?
Then , just by chance, you happen to notice that The Royal Station Hotel next to the station has live music on tonight...and CATDOG are playing.
F****n hell love ,who would have thought it ?
Oh well, might as well make a night of it eh?
Then watch CATDOG and get your socksrockedrightoff, before taking the missus home to finish the day off in the way only you know how.

Come on, we need the help, it`s normally like Harold Shipmans waiting room....

this blog is so wierd chris, i swear to god, me and the missus were in morecambe saturday teatime, had something to eat at frankie & bennies, had a stroll along the prom, had a walk in happy mount park, then decided to have a look at the famous waiting room at carnforth station (bit disappointing) but, then decided to drive back on the coast road back through morecambe/lancaster before going home via the trough.
as we drove past the royal hotel at carnforth i commented to sue, iam sure thats a venue off northwestbands, in fact i said, i think catdog play there, but there was nothing advertised, so we just carried on with our drive home, only for us both to see this blog when we got home, strange but true, have i entered the twilight zone ???

funny you should say that Chris, I too thought I`d entered the twilight zone ...last night in The Royal Station.
15 people tops, some of whom had obvious genetic defects..oh and some tumbleweed.
Wish you had popped in. So much for putting up our posters and splashing out on an advertising board eh ?
