I really would have liked to do this in private from Mr NWB

but the nature of this site prevents it - please read on, it concerns all of you...

As you know (I was slightly pre-empted on this one) Mr & Mrs NWB will actually become Mr & Mrs NWB this weekend and I would like to add to Steve Slinger and you NWBers who have already commented in wishing them all the very best for the day and the rest of their lives.

HOWEVER, we have a much bigger opportunity here, we can not only give them a fantastic wedding present from every one who uses this site, but also thank Paul (and VIcky) for the time and effort he puts into this site, the stick he has put up with and show him some NWB love and respect.

I would therefore like to ask each and everyone of you (either as a band or an individual) to donate £5 to the NWB site.
That's all - £5

I am led to believe that you can do this via a click of a button on 'manage gigs' if you are logged on as a band, or you can use a paypal account to transfer donations to info@northwestbands.co.uk

So come on all you people out there in La La Land, how about it?

Whether you know Paul and Vicky or not, whether or not you agree with everything on this site (and yes, I've had my spats with Paul) if you are reading this then you ARE using the site. I don't think a fivers too much to ask, just don't have that bottle of wine tonight.

They will only get married once (i sincerely hope), but I don't know about you, I'm on here every fekkin' day.

So let's give them a proper wedding send off - I'm going to donate my£5 now

Alyerlet'sgivesomethingbacktoPaulpal

PS there are currently 25 members logged on - that's £125! Go on - you know you want to!

I don't have a paypal account but I'd love to make a donation to the upkeep of this site. Is there any means of doing it for non-paypal luddites?

Great idea Al BUT.
If we use the donate button the money will go towards site upkeep and i don't personally think that is a very nice Wedding Present, (particularly for Vicky).
It would have been better for someone to volunteer to take the money into their PP account, (gift doesn't attract fees), and then buy a Debenhams/John Lewis etc voucher and at least then they can buy something for themselves rather than the web-site.
Just my opinion.

£5 donated and sent....
I know I've had my moments and I may be a thorn in some peoples side but I've met so many good people and seen some great bands due to my involvement with NWB.
Long may it live.....
All the best

Cheers for the donations/wedding presents people! - Don't really know what to say, part from a MASSIVE thanks, and onwards and upwards with the new site (to be unleashed when I'm back from honeymoon)

Even if it goes to site upkeep, atleast it's not money being shelled out of their account for a while, so still valid I think.

@ Film One, send Paul a fiver in the post, or I'll Paypal it and you can send ME a fiver in the post!

I quite literally can't afford a fiver out of my paypal at the moment, but wish them all the best!

I'll set my browser to repeatedly click and refresh the ads on the site to generate advertising revenue, best I can do sorry... ;)
