I've just got back from f**king Rochdale.....80 f**king mile round trip in the pissing rain.....found the Elephant & Castle and the sign saying....''Pub Closed for refurbishments''
Took my daughter out to see you cos there was nowt on telly.....
NOT HAPPY.....

I called in another nearby pub called the Harvester to ask if there was another Elephant and Castle in the area....there were a few guys at the bar who were en-route to the gig too.....who were shocked by my announcement...
F**king waste of time.....
At least ONE english team did us proud.....

just spoke to Aidy he said they were all pretty pissed off about it too,they got there and the lights were on and everything and saw the same sign about it being refurbed,made a few calls and told to wait there the message they got was that nobody had booked them...yeah right! FUBAR!

As above. We turned up and the place was closed. We only confirmed it with the agent yesterday and they only took the booking last week. Poor form from the venue.

@whatever-it could, dude-you might have actually had to play there??? as i say - from what i know-ain't never been music friendly, and, as e (ruins) says has a rather schizophrenic view about it's location. :-D
