Please read this isn't a Dean Casement blowing smoke up his own arse blog!!!

This is NOT a blog to say how great we are and the old 'man our gigs this weekend were awesome, we rocked and it was rockin, and was totally far out man woohoo. We rocked, there was 4000 people packed into a Joey Holts boozer where we seen there faces and rocked them all then it turned into an orgy and we surfed out the pub on a wave of sperm'. No it’s not one of them blogs...!!! I just felt the need to inform you of how much I enjoyed our weekend, how it went as I and I'm sure I can speak for the lads in saying how much they did too...

Please read on.

Saturday at The Hop Pocket, Chorley. Crackin' gig, one of the nicest crowds I think I have played to in a long while... Requests taken throughout the night, great connection with the punters and was really nice to see a few North West doo dah members turn out, thank you.

Sunday affy at The Alison Arms Coppull... Again a great crowed who appreciated the music, was amazed to receive so many requests for Stevie Ray stuff! When asked to play Stevie I am in my elephant... Fave part of the gig was bein’ asked to play Texas Flood in which the old ‘play guitar behind the back SRV trick’ come out... Not like me to show off though, eh? Also Mike and Marts drum and bass solo's were just to die for, makes me realise on a sentimental note as to how lucky I am to be in a band with them two fellas. I challenge anyone to find me a better rhythm section anywhere in the north west or further afield... A joy, an honour and a pleasure to work with.

Sunday night at The Garricks Head, Urmston.... WAS DEAD!!! Either way we had a good time... We were joined on drums by Leon Gill cracking pal standing in for Big Mart... We did a totally different set which I really enjoyed playing and singing... Old Sam Cooke tunes, The Weight by The Band, Let It Be that kinda stuff, plus some nice bits of Jimi thrown in for good measure... It turned into a nice night where we could relax, chat and just have a knock at tunes we wouldn’t normally play.... and guess what.... we got paid for it. Cosmic or what?

Anyway The Welcome Inn, Prestwich this Wednesday, The Hark to Towler Saturday and The Woolpack Radcliffe Sunday... Where you can hear my new FuzzFace the proper hand wired jobby can’t wait to get in used on the Hendrixy stuff. So I bid you all a happy Monday and hope to see you either Wednesday or over the weekend.

Bonjour

Deano, your trio sounds better every time I see you, three gifted musicians playing a great set of songs with no set list and playing requests and you played THAT song as well ! pmsl,

Rick.

Thank you very much Rick, kind words. 'That song' was played in honour of a true gent though remember... Some may even say the Godfather of North West Bands.
