Everyone is invited - Sat 29th May 2010

Almost 1 year old already, can you believe it????

25th May 2009 I was driving down from Glasgow when Battery came on the Ipod and I thought, "I'd feckin love to be in a Metallica tribute band, but where do I start, and would anyone be interested".
That same day I started looking for members, and within 4 weeks, we had our first practice.
The whole thing has taken off like a rocket and I can't wait to see what the next year brings :-D

I wanna say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way and put up with our constant postings on here, much to the annoyance of certain reptiles and others lol
(Well, in fairness the band was pretty much formed on NWB with some fairly active members so what did you expect? pmsl)

Anyway, a huge thankyou to all the NWB members, all the venues who booked us without us even playing a note and taking a massive risk on a brand new band with a big fat ginger plum as a virgin front man :-D, and to all the family and friends who put up with the worrying, and constant phone calls and hours away practicing....hee hee

We are playing at the Pheasant Pluckers on the 29th, so we thought, let's ave a fooking parteeeeeeeeee....like we needed an excuse lol

We will be doing our full 2 hr+ set, but I'm hoping to get us set up possibly in the afternoon so that we can have 2 or 3 hours before the gig for some buffonary and stupidness, and of course even more fun and stupidness after the gig.

So, if anyone has any ideas of what we could get up to before and after the gig then feel free to make a suggestion.

:-D

All the best

The guys from Metalleeka

@Mark
Yeah it took about a week and a half for Gareth, to say he was interested, then I went on holiday and came back to an email from Kev, so we tried for a week to find a lead guitarist and thought sod it, let's meet up anyway and have a jam. Then on the morning of the first jam, I got an email from a young lad named Carl who came along with 2 hours notice.
Things didn't quite work out and after 2 practices with Carl, we parted ways and Rob came in and we never looked back.
