Filed Under : Gig Promo , Hello

Anyone comin'?

Always a pleasure to play here and catch up with Lee & Nicole.
Nice big club-style room with a large spacious stage and full lighting rig.

Set-wise we've got some new tunes which we debuted in Stockport last week...should also go down well here.
Looking to be on stage between 10.30 and 11pm...

The Classic Punk experience from The Sugar Bullets.
Would be great to see some of you down there...

Don't think of it as classic x2, but classic².

Classic² Punk crosses boundaries. Classic punk is the obscure punk music that only punks want to hear. Classic² punk is classic punk tracks that appeal to punks AND to the general public. It's not as niche, which means it's popularity knows no bounds.

That's the one Al. Classic squared or Classic² Punk. It's the future, except the Sugar Bullets are doing it NOW.

It's interesting the people who tell us before a gig they don't really like Punk....then know all the words to the songs we play.

I've never liked the idea of The Sugar Bullets being a niche band and I don't think we are...we don't just appeal to Punks or people who like Punk music, but also to those who like to watch and appreciate a good live rock band who take their hobby seriously. Guarantee there'll be people in their twenties on Fri night jumpin around to The Saints are Coming / God Save the Queen / No more heroes...

Whilst we maintain the 'classic' element of Punk and never play anything outside the 77-82 era, I'd say we are the "modern classic Punk tribute"...now theres a new genre haha

Sounds like you're trying to fit a squared punk into an all round hole!

Just poking fun at the meaning of words and how they can be 'played' with Dean - not having a go at anyone.

Can't make it Friday - I'm off to see The Big Fish, but I'll catch ya soon.

@Rick - we've not played in Bolton for ages, we used to play Blue Boar a lot but it closed down. Also played Butchers arms once but they stopped havin' bands on shortly after. We used to enjoy playin Bolton and mets loads of great people but just one of those things. A few of my pals want me to arrange a local gig Bury/Bolton area but where is there?
