Royal Oak, Standishgate Wigan - still open?

U.S. Mail play here on Sunday afternoon - does anyone have a phone no?

Just been trying to confirm the gig on the number I had ( and the only one I can find on the web ) 01942 323137.
However the line seems dead. Does anyone know of an alternate phone no or the mobile of landlord Chris?
Or does anyone know if the pub is still open?

dont have number but as far as I know Docs doin fine at The Royal Oak, think I would have been told if otherwise as our bassist gigs with the docs band

Thanks pal! May be a temporary blip with the line! Can't find any news about it having shut down - just a bit concerned about confirming the gig!

hi US .. we just got booked for 4th July so I'm guessing Doc's still in business ... funnily enough I don't have a number for him!

its definitely open. I live down the road from there and walk past it everyday. I didnt know Chris even had a mobile, you would think that bein the relic that he is he would not contemplate such a hand held device that allows you to talk on the go. Then again would he need one coz he hardly ever moves away from his seat by the bar. I will have a walk down on Sunday and watch you guys coz the ale is fantastic in there

Had an email back from Chris - turns out they have a new number (pm me if you want it!). Unfortunately Chris won't be there on the day as apparently he's in Paris this weekend.
