You did ask ?

As i was asked..:(
Let me say firstly,i play nothing, cant sing, and admire any one that can get up in front of an audience, I have been around bands since age 11...a good 20 years...lol..i wish !! ;)
I see about 6 to 8 bands "every "week end, have seen near enough all bands on this site, and many many more besides.go to fests, and concerts all the time..so i am an audience lol !!
Hubby was a bass player,as is my Son,ex chap of seven years in a band and ran a jam night,an my recent ex of a year and a half was a player..lol...thats why i sacked him..lol..another time !! :(

Any way, here we go whilst am still fresh from the gig.....Let me start with it was a funny old night, not many out tonight ??,seen you before as you know.
Enjoyed it very much tonight,,hate rock n roll.:( but you did it well..not my kinda stuff.but it went down well...New drummer !!,am bias there lol..been watching Alex for a number o years an a chip off the old..good choice..:) nice mix of songs, some thing for every one :) was a good night :)

A good night "very very "entertaining..Alec...your ace,as i said i log in most days on here and just read the blogs n the gig guide, dont stop the blogs !!! really enjoyed tonight as i did last time i saw you :)...just one little critisism...song list !!!
you did it all very well ,fantastic musicians...great stage presence..energy..fab...but me..am so fed up o old classics :( sorry.. near wet myself (sorry lol ) when you started "bridge of sighs" roben trower...an it went in to sumat else..cant remember what..I am personally, just a bit jaded with the set lists in general..( not just you bands in general)
In my humble opinion as an audience (that whisltles on cue lol,) great night, would make time to see you agan....but...put some new stuff in with the classics !!! some Joe bonamassa, some robben ford..your all capable..in with the crowd pleasers, an i promise..your audience will increase..just my opinion......dont stop doing what your doing..the gig scene would be a more desolate place with out you...just...update a little...and any other band reading this ...please update just a bit along side the ...hey.joe..hoochie cochie man..etc...
Well i am open to critisism....
lots o love...a huge live music fan...
x

It's always a tricky one this. We try to play songs which haven't been played to death which can work in our favour but at the same time it can be a less effective option. You should gage every gig seperately which makes writing a set list very difficult. When you play in a covers band you have more of an obligation to please the audiance.
