Nags Head - Macclesfield
Was going to write this when I got in at 3am but was totally shattered.
We played the Nags Head in Maccs last night for the first time and what can I say...wow fuckin brilliant!
Perfect loading, perfect stage area (for the 3 of us), great sounding room, great landlord/lady and just perfect music loving people....they really love their music down there. One thing in particular I liked which other venues should take note of is they moved the tables & chairs out of the room (its a multiple room pub) so the music lovers could all get in...none of this sitting down whilst watching the band malarky just full on mayhem...there were people pogoing everywhere from what I could see from behind the kit. Not often you can say that about a venue of late, we've had our share of quiet gigs this year but last night wasn't one of 'em....think the BH helped too....if only every gig could be like that.
Genuine landlord/lady in Steve & Sandra...down to earth people who have a great pub there, even made food afterwards. We look forward to seeing them again hopefully after the Summer...was great to meet the Macc crowd and appreciate all their comments inc. Sandra's words of approval...
