Wow! Our first ever gig and it was at a proper music festival!

Wow! What a weekend! Film One finally made their long awaited debut at a small festival in Staffordshire called Questock. Appearing at 10pm on the Sunday, after host of fantastic bands from the Saturday onwards we were more than a little nervous. We were by far the most miserable swines there and our equipment rig looked more like something that belonged to NASA than a band and we were yet to gig with any of it. Plus our backup solutions (backing tracks on CD/MP3 + spare synth) we'd left at home - though all being said I doubt we could've fitted anything else in the car!

Fortunately things went fantastic, despite our rather woeful cover of 30th Century Man, the crowd loved us and it was probably the most amazing experience of my life playing my synths to a crowd of revellers (and a bemused looking field of cows) as the countryside twilight turned into night.

All in all, just amazing and all credit to all the other bands and the organisers for such a fantastic weekend. Shame our tent committed suicide in the gales of Sunday morning, but apart from that it was great!

There weren't any sheep there (or sheeple either). It was a dairy farm and when I emerged from the dying remains of my tent, a load of cows were staring at me! It was a bit un-nerving to say the least.

We did Map but Vapour Trails has been mothballed as it sounded too weird as a synth pop song! Our mate/graphic designer Marco recorded us playing Lost Age and a cover of Cars (all bands had to do at least one cover) on his phone which I'll try and get online at some point.

Looking forward to the Battle of the Bands next week, it'll be really interesting to see four different genres of music take to the same stage. See you at the Pheasant!
