Died Sat 1st Nov..Original member of Frank Zappa and the mothers (..they played the best place in town in Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water ..). Also toured with the Liverpools 'Muffin Men'.

I met Jimmy Carl Black at a Muffin gig at the Thatched House in Stockport some years ago. Top geezer .....
....he started to play the drums because there weren't any trumpets in rock'n roll.

Very sad...although he says be happy on his website...true legend...and will always be 'the Indian of the group'
