Guns or Roses!!!!! They were as "NO SHOW" Tonight????
Just heard Guns or Roses didn;t show up for there gig tonight at the Fleece??? Has somebody died? Couldn't they get a dep for him?? Anybody want a mad dash?
on my way....hang on its 10.30pm
you'll get an hour in?
gotta do my hair :D
It'll have to be a 5 minute set then?
if a band hasn't turned up at 8.30pm then theres a problem, I am sure a lot of us who have gigs at the Fleece would try to help em out but 10.30pm is a bit late even if a replacement act lived local .....Tex
I was gonna go see Guns or Roses in Northwich tomorrow night after the England match.....hhhhmmmmm
That'll explain that call I had earlier from Yvonne...Mystery solved!
I had a wander down, was looking forward to seeing them. Had a pint then left, Yvonne still hadn't been able to get hold of anyone in the band by the time I left.
oooh that aint good!! We're playing at the fleece tonight so i'll see if theres any update... John
just spoke to GoR... their Slash has a collapsed lung. contact was made with the Fleece but no answer, apparently answerphone message was left. they are also not available for the Northwich gig.
Hope he gets well soon that's a very very serious condition indeedI think something has hopefully been learned here about assumption?..
well put doctor D!
i dont really see what is to gain from the whole oneupmanship thing. community my arse. nice sideways dig in Northen riots last blog too. sad state of affairs
It's not good glyn I agree, people are too quick to comment on lots of things on where before knowing the full story, I saw the blog last nite about the no show and my first thought was a: there must be a very good reason and b: I bet there will be some inevitable comments slating the no show before the reason is known, I'm not preaching here, we all make assumptions daily , it's a human trait, but u know what I mean
sorry peeps, no dig intended: just a lack of taste in advertising our gig! No offence meant and I certainly hope Slash is feeling better soon :-) John
it reads to me like people want to try to enhance their reputation by chipping bits off others reputations Rob... just stick to the music eh?. thanks for that John.
hiya john i wasnt having a go at ya my friend , weve met and i know youre a lovely guy and a diamond, in fact im not having a go at anyone, we all make assumptions every day and theres quite a bit on here when its not really necessary, thats all i was making a point about, some of the above stuff just wound me up a bit thats all, this is still a brill site, but it seems sometimes it seems to be a place for a bit of stirring and point scoring which leaves a nasty taste in the mouth and gets on my pip occasionally, and if theres not been a controversial blog for a bit there seems to be one generated to keep up the flow(i dont mean this blog) but thats another story)mild rant over!!i know Bob from GOR and i know him and the guys are really committed to what they dowishing John(Slash ) all the best wishes and godspeed for a speedy recovery
incedentally ... i am married to Bob's daughter. :)
glyn you can renew your vows when they recreate the november rain video, how cool would that be!!
lol, we'll have to see if we can make a hash up of a GnR tune tonight in tribute... LOL!!! ;D J
a great idea rob.... won't she end up in a coffin though?... too much washing up to do b4 then!
Sorry to hear that one of the band was seriously ill.
That sounds like a really nasty condition that Glyn! Give him my regards for a speedy recovery!
i beleive that it happened shortly after a gig. he has been "reinflated" and all seems ok, just resting a while on doctors orders
Glyn bigw Thanks for the information mate....saves me a wasted journey tonight..... always nice to have all the facts before we judge people..... Hope young Slash is OK. Gary
Jus like to say hope Slash gets better soon.My son (former drummer with "Tallica")had the same condition a few years ago ,and while it is not life threatening it can be serious, and unfortunatly it kept happening to him and he had to have surgery to repair said lung but is fine now.I think there may be a link with this condition (pneumothorax)and performing music...........sf
