hi everyone - not really the main genre of this site, but we're all musicans here so if you know anyone that may be interested, fling them our way!

Established Burnley Indie band The Mockingbirds need a new BASS player. Our current bassist will honour the gig dates we've got booked in case any venues see this.
We play originals with a few covers depending on the venue we gig at. Our style is fast paced, indie rock n roll - visit - www.myspace.com/mockandroll for a few of our demos or www.themockingbirds.co.uk for more info about us.
influences - stone roses, libertines, oasis, kings of leon, the smiths, muse, oasis, beatles, kasabian, etc etc.
Big gigs already booked - and we're regulary in the studio recording new material and have a collection of around 15 original songs with more just needing bass parts.
Regular PAID gigs, every month - usually around 2 a month but as many as we like. We have a big fan base, and we're no strangers to playing in front of 100+ people. All of our gigs tend to be very well attended.
We have no shortage of venues wanting to book us - with radio appearences and mini festivals as well. (We've just done BBC Introducing).
We have our own very secure unit that we practice in - in Burnley, with 24/7 access. We have the keys so we go in whenever we want and leave our kit there so we're not wasting time setting up/packing down every time.
We're aged - 22 - 30 but would consider any age if you're the right person.
We dont go to gigs or rehersals in a van, we all transport ourselves in various ways, so you must be able to either drive or get to various venues around Lancashire - you'd be amazed how many musicians don't drive.

We all work, and practice/gig in our free time so yo must be able to commit to the band on a regular basis. We tend to practice once a week and gig at weekends so if you're able to do this, give us a shout!
