What have you done your proud of or strange things etc (must be true) lol

mine would have to be getting to Black belt in Martialarts and fighting World heavyweight champoin Alfie Lewis in 1992 (on reflection it was such I good idea) I lost on points and didnt get KOd which was an acheivenment in itself as he was on trial for killing a mugger with a single puch at the time

and in 1996 I got my Private Pilots licence (I dont fly anymore my eyes are shot)

Music is always my main interest and I hope it always will

I went with a team of 12 from Wigan to the Phillipines and worked for three weeks to build a much needed orphanage, we paid our own way and even purchased all the materials between us, we built it in 2 weeks and 2 days with the assistance of local labour, I am very proud of that achievement and would love to do it all again....Tex

I know a guy who once got bought a pint by phil collins and then got wasted with all of genesis.

I also once met charlotte church and almost saw Amy Winehouse get pissed and she stripped in the middle of selfridges THEN got arrested. We just saw all the commotion happening around

private pilots licence?????? so that explains your driving home after Night Train gigs....you kept hitting the kerbs cos you thought you thought the wheels were off the ground LOL

I used to play rugby union (hooker) for Lancashire many years ago and wish I'd carried on but music got in the way of my playing for England aspirations...however..
my proudest achievment was when I was a journalist I campaigned for a main road junction in Atherton to be altered...it was and still is... so every time I drive past there I think to myself..'I did that'

My kids make me proud every day.
Most other things I`ve done in my life I`m afraid I`m not very proud of...

Playing football for Bury U21s at altrincham's ground, my first appearance .... there was a guy on the opposing side who everyone was raving about who scored 4 in the first half (bobby charlton, paddy crerand and nobby stiles were in the crowd watching him), manager tells me to get ready i was on in the second half and i needed to let the bloke know he was in a game... after 2 minutes sliding tackle and put him over the hoardings onto the terraces... His 'sore leg' prevented him re-appearing...... the proudest bit was after the match - bobby charlton glared at me and called me a "dirty t@*t" and nobby stiles grabbed my hand, shook it and said "now that is what i call a tackle, nice one son!".

At the time he was the reigning world heavyweight champion a title he won 5 times, he was euro champion 9 times , in most peoples opinion he is one of the finest martial artists the country has ever produced he was like lightning and hit so damn hard he was so light on his feet for a man of about 15 stones, it was an incrdible if somewhat painful experience sharing a ring with him. in 1993 he went to America and fought a huge Yank called Nasty Anderson that was supposed to be unbeatable and leathered him. a guy tried to mug him in Liverpool and took a swing at him Alfie took a step back and instinctively hit the guy, and the guy was dead before he hit the ground. he stood trial and was found to have acted in self defence. he did end up in jail for something to do with a nightclub security business he ran in Liverpool very Scary guy

I've played football since I could walk and still play now albeit alot slower. In that time Ive made so many friends and met so many celebs / interesting people. I was on Bolton Wanderers books for a time and played for Dagenham semi pro when I lived in Romford, Essex.

I now play in a golf society - 24 of us and we have a great laugh, all really good friends from football.

Was very fotunate to travel on Concorde for just doing my job very well when I worked for a large national company.

The charity work that I've got involved with over the years has given me so much satisfaction.

Here's a photo with some of my football trophies and my daughter Nina a few years ago

Done quite a few things i am proud of , maybe not what others think on reflection , But

Like Alec i also played Rugby Union at Leigh and Fylde From Junior Colts thru to 1st team playing Flanker (wing Forward) for the uninitiated lol also for Lancashire Under Bill Beaumont, and British Lions Youth team playing in Sawth Afrika etc , then switched codes for a brief but Paid career in RL for Warrington and Huyton , lol.

Joined The forces at 19 (RN / Fleet Air Arm ) for a South Atlantic Tour to the Falklands, where i rather proudly patched up the AAA Holes in Harriers and Prince Andrews Heli, lol

Saved a young kid once to from Drowning .who sadly died a few months later playing chicken across the East Lancs, Kismet !

proudest moment ever tho is having 3 great kids , and 2 Lovely Grandkids

er .... well when I was 16 I, er ..... no, no ... as a kid I, er, hmmm ... nope ....
acually the think i'm most proud of is quitting my job!! 26 years in what became a very highly paid job in IT, but it was absolutely killing me for the last 5 or 6 years and I thought fuck this ..... chatted about it with me missus and the option for Vol Redundancy came up ... see ya, i'm outta here!!
Quite scary - spent 18 months on the dole, got a solo set together, made me own backing and did a good 12 months doing that, then got a nice little job in local (very local) company ... not a great deal of money but it takes me between 9 and 11 minutes to get to work in the morning (about 6 minutes to get home!!) and i've been able to spend a lot more time doing things I want.
Highly recommended although I absolutely SHIT! meself at the time!

Willowproudtobeaskiver!! lol

I teach karate in Eccles, and since starting, I've had loads of vunerable adults and kids come to me. It's turned a lot of peoples lives around, anyone who's been bullied knows what I mean.
This year I've graded 5 young uns to their 1st black-belt.
Know that feels good.
