Mini Festival Sunday August 29th

Following on from our Help for Heroes sell out gig at the Glory in Rossendale we'd like to go one further. We need 7 bands in total to make up an afternoons entertainment on Sunday 29th August 2010. I'm in the process of applying for permission to host a ticket only outdoor mini festival to raise money for our wounded. I'm after bands who are interested in playing on an expenses only basis doing 40 minute slots. Expressions of interest only at this stage so DO NOT ring the venue, just reply to me. PA and some back line will be provided as will stage engineers etc. First band at 3pm, last band at 10pm. Tickets will be available on the day at £10 if we get the go ahead. ALL profits to HFH. Interested let me know. If all goes to plan we can have a maximum of 300 people there. Please only apply if you are definitely free on that date all day. Please don't ring me week before and say your guitarist is away etc etc. Cheers Vinny Complete Control

This sounds Like a great event, my band, The Banana Vista Social Club are doing a gig on the 28th August, I have only just spotted this blog so have not spoke to the rest of the band yet, but if we can all make it we would love to come and support your venue. I wrote a song recently that was played on Amazingradio.com. Its titled No Regrets, and I have dedicated the song to all combatants everywhere. You can hear it on Amazingtunes.com, just type in Stokesy (thats me)then scroll down my playlist. To hear what the band is like type in The Banana Vista Social Club. We have a 14 song set, and would love to come along. Help for Heroes is a charity I fully support, and if we can't make this one, would love to hear of other events you are putting together in the future, we are only down the rd in and around Rochdale. Anyway, whatever happens good luck Vinny, I hope you raise lots of cash. Take care, Stokesy. (we are a 5 strong outfit, cello, acoustic guitar, mandolin, world percussion, flute/sax, male and female vocalists)
