Soundhouse Bolton

It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that the Soundhouse has been prised from my care by a business partner who thinks that the music industry in Bolton provides a fat and wealthy lifestyle and who wants to sit like Bernard Manning in his underpants while riches befall him.... How far from the truth is that...! Maybe several months down the line he will realise that its not a walk in the park. Quite frankly, the people who have had the pleasure of meeting him in the past will know that his personality is so far removed from that which is compatible with the music industry that it's pitiful. Any way no hard feelings that the git has done me over (cos I'm a bigger person than that), and I wish him well. The venue will not be open for the next month however, as I have removed my name from the premises licence. With regard to the Hayseed Dixie and Terrorvision gigs, we are looking at alternative venues in Bolton. Cheerio chaps its been a blast and I've met some truely remarkable people and made some amazing friends. Thanks for all your support.

Jeez. Saw the Lancashire Hotpots there not long ago and thought it was a great venue. That's a real shame.

It had the potential alright, it still has! If someone can come in and take it over it needs investment as the job is only partly done! I wish i could afford it but who'd buy a venue in this climate?

Exactly. It would take someone with testicles made of titanium to take it on at this moment in time.

I have just been speaking to someone in the know and apparently this is a temporary blip whilst the partnership dissolves, one partner owns the building and the other the license,,,,,it will be re-opening soon!
