Cos' we got a gig there on the 18th & not heard much about it.

Got a call this week from a chap who'd got my number off Ken (ex White Hart) wanting to book us for The Sun Inn in Brierfield BURNLEY....we've accepted the gig...nice early gig on a Sunday 7-9pm.

Just wondered if anyone here has played here? The guy is called Chris, said they have bands on there all the time but I've not seen them mentioned here before.

Anyway looking forward to the gig, not played for a good few weeks so itching to get back into it.

Cheers
Dean.

We've played there a few times. It's only a small pub but there's plenty of room for the band. It's been a regular on the live music scene for a while now & has bands on every weekend so they are live music friendly. I go in a fair bit anyway & the audience has been a bit hit & miss more recently in terms of attendance. A word of caution though, its right on the corner of a t-junction so parking & loading/unloading can be difficult. You can take the gamble on parking next door in the ex school now church car park but it is a designated wheel clamping area as the residents pay for the priveledge!!!

Across the road is the Hare & Hounds who have a big car park round the back..................

weve played there a few times, not a bad venue, the landlord owns at least one other pub locally, one of them is on the same road, he seems to have a lot of young ladies working behind the bar, quite enjoyed playing there, not a bad crowd at all, not a particular good place to either park or load up from, you will enjoy it anyway, hope you have a good gig.

cheers tony

We played there a couple of times and it was a regular for Shine. Last time he asked us to do another half hour and paid an extra £100 to keep people in. Dont know if hed had a bit to drink though as half way through the second set he walked across in front of us tripped over the monitors and fell flat on his face. Hes a nice chap though and very helpful definately got some nice young ladies behind the bar.
